Do you want to build a career in nightlife? Are you community-driven and confident building networks? This is for you.

UNLOCKED: Promoters is a free, one-day development programme for aspiring promoters in Amsterdam, delivered by Resident Advisor in collaboration with IsBurning.

Through masterclasses led by local experts, participants receive a 360° introduction to organising club events - from booking artists and marketing shows to building communities and creating safer, more inclusive spaces.

The programme is free to attend, with limited capacity and priority given to underrepresented groups.

Emerging promoters, collectives, organizers, curators, and community-builders.

Do you want to start or help your own party/collective?

Participants learn through real events, masterclasses, and mentorship. They gain hands-on production experience and learn how to build events that are safe, intentional, and rooted in community.

WHAT YOU LEARN

Build an event from idea to concept to execution
Program with care and intention
Create expressive and inclusive spaces
Understand how production works behind the scenes (logistics, tech, budgeting)
Collaborate with artists, venues, partners, and communities
Structure an event sustainably (budgeting, logistics, team roles)

Outcome

A group of new promoters and collectives who have co-organized multiple events and contributed to our showcases and potentially their own stage.
